MILES 8660
Non-Methylene Chloride Stripper
Room Temperature or low Temperature Aluminum Wheel Stripping Solution
Liquid for Immersion Applications
Description:
Directions:
Warning:
First Aid:
Hazard Class:
MILES 8660 is a Room Temperature, Non-flammable, acid accelerated alternative to hazardous Methylene chloride strippers, concentrated-liquid, aluminum wheel stripping solution formulated to remove all types of cured coatings from aluminum, brass, stainless and steel. May be heated to130F.-150F. to accelerate stripping time. MILES 8660 can be used heated to strip all types of Powder Coatings, OEM coatings from Aluminum Alloy Wheels, E-coating, Military CARC and difficult to remove PVD Primers. Not safe for use for zinc or magnesium substrates. Tire Rubber must be removed from wheel/rim prior to using stripper. Stripper will attack Wheel rubber, Latex, Acrylics,Vinyl, Fiberglass, PVC and ABS plastics.
Utilize a stainless steel or polypropylene immersion tank with lid. Ready to use at 100% concentration for room temperature stripping or can be diluted with up to 50% water when heated to 130F.-150F. Strip time heated is 15 minutes to 1.5 hours and at room temperature strip time is 2-hours to overnight, depending on the type coating and coating film build. Agitation with a stainless-steel mixer will accelerate strip time. Never use direct air agitation into solution, as it will deplete solution life.
May be harmful if swallowed. May cause skin and eye irritation. Eye protection and chemical resistant Heavy Nitrile safety gloves are recommended when handling paint stripping chemicals. Do not use thin disposable safety gloves, rinse safety gloves with water after each use.
In case of eye or skin contact flush with large amounts of water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists, see physician. In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting; drink large quantities of water to dilute product. Seek medical attention at once.
